Sholay Artiste Raj Kishore Dies At 85
Raj Kishore, who is remembered for essaying one of the prisoners in Sholay, passed away early this morning after suffering a heart attack
Raj Kishore, who essayed the role of a prisoner in Ramesh
Sippy’s Sholay, passed away at wee hours (1.30 am) after suffering a heart
attack at his Goregaon (East) home. He was 85.
The senior actor’s funeral took place at Aarey
Crematorium at 10:30 am.

Besides Sholay, Kishore was seen in films such as Padosan
(1968), Deewar (1975), Ram Aur Shyam (1967), Hare Rama Hare Krishna
(1971), Patanga (1949), Karishma Kudrat Kaa (1985), Aasmaan (1984),
Bombay To Goa 1972) and Karan Arjun (1995) among others.
In Sholay, one can’t forget how he eyeballed the jailor
(essayed by Asrani) as he steps in to inspect the prisoners.
